pooping question! sorry

Hi basically my new pup 8 and half weeks. Sometimes goes out and tries to poop but nothing happens he really strains. Other times like after a meal etc he does poop and its normal consistency if even a little loose.
He is due for worming on Monday and he is going for his jabs then too. Will obv ask about it then but is it likely he has worms so thinks he needs to go due to pressure?
He has a bit of a round tum wasn't eating all his food the other day but is now he is having it in smaller meals. He is bright alert and energetic. His back end looks normal can't see any evidence of worm shells!

What is his worming history & what are you feeding?

I never worm at the same time as a vaccination as why add to the stress...

You won't see worm "shells", the commonest worms in puppies are roundworms which look like noodles. Some wormers cause them to be ejected but others allow them to be digested by the pup.

Well he won't be wormed on same day but got to get panacur from vets as that's what he was having from breeders.
He is on a local product called wet noses a place called penparc stock it. Same ingredients and composition ah JWB.
He was wormed 2weeks ago on Tuesday.
Pics were on a thread i did about crating and letting out for toilet. But when I'm home will post more!
