I got to the yard tonight and she was really quiet. Didn't move when I put her saddle on. Put her bridle on and she kept tossing her head. I looked at her nose and one side on the very end was hard, hot & swollen. I rode her rounf the block on a loose rein but she kept tossing her head. Do you think she has been stung?

It does seem like it, or perhaps some sort of boil or abscess coming up? Poor sweet girl. I hope you can find out what it is. It seems early in the years for stings, although some queen wasps might be about already.

Another 'Poor Corroy' post!!

We certainly do- I just got a £600 bill for nothing - just for random visits for pointless little things.... *fumes*

It was warm today, she might have woken something in the grass that bit hter - Donkey sends kisses, same Donkey that gets a bite on her neck from one of her buddies and acts like they have tried to murder her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sounds like shes been stung, or perhaps bitten by a rat/mouse?

what was it like this morning? If it was a rat that bit her you need to be careful as it might have infected her (especially if you have poisen down at your yard for them).

Apparently it is better, Jaime is riding her at the mo. I felt terrible for taking her round the block last night as she made such a fuss.

poor love, sounds very sore.

Could be a sting from a dozy wasp, a bite?

I know I am aways a bit worried when Winston makes a bee-line to a cat because he loves sniffing them, but one of these days hes going to get *slapped* good and proper by one of them.
