My poor ickle Finny was Ick yesterday!!

He puked on my mums carpet twice (Grandma wasn't happy with grandoggy!!) bless him, he'd been fine at the yard hooning around like a nutter and generally having fun...

Got to my mum & dads, sat around chatting for about 10mins and puked (just watery stuff) ... went outside and started hooning around again.. came back in had an ickle drink then went back in the front room... sat in there for 10mins then puked again!!

Then made him come to the kitchen and lie on his blanket and he just zonked out and went to sleep... no retching or sick?!

Mum has recently started using a new 'plug in' that is extremely strong... do you think this would effect him? I know dog have an acute sense of smell so if it's strong for us... it may be too strong for him!?

He travelled in the car and home fine no sickness... just sleeping.

I don't even think it was something he ate as it wasn't the contents of his stomach that came up!! NICE I know!!

Could the plug in have effected him?!
He's been to mums before no probs...

I wouldn't write it off. Some of those things make me feel sick, nevermind a dog who has a much more acute sense of smell. In saying thta, haven't heard of it happening before. Has he been sick since?

Was there a chance he ate something when he was running around the garden?

Grass will obviously make them sick, and it's usually fluid that they bring up. Or he could have picked something up from a hedge maybe? Our cat ate a rotten mouse and was sick for days after...
crazy.gif

Hope he's better now. xxx

[/ QUOTE ]Nope not round the garden as I was watching him constantly - it is possible that he ate something at the yard but again nothing *solid* came up just liquid

LOL your dog sounds cheeky!!

cheeky is a diplomatic way to describe her! and at age 11 its worse she's getting! she has this theory that if she closes her eyes or turns her back to us so she can't see us then we can't see her when she's up to no good lol!! on another subject where did you get finn's green jacket? was thinking of getting one for kerry(my dog) as she's getting clipped soon and it doesn't look like she could shred it to easily!

Has he grown out of it already!/ My goodness! Beastie loves her little jacket. Keeps her so cosy!

And also thought you could shed some light saw loadsa ads fro ridgeback pups and they kept mentioned they were tattooed..in what manner does this mean? I haven't seen it in a dog ad before!

[/ QUOTE ]It's a form of ID - like micro chipping... but they tattoo the inside of the dogs ear... with a number and a breeders 'code', the problem being with this is that if the dog where stolen... SOME people would 'slice' the ear off... Tada no ID!! (Sick I know!!)

I think breeders do it more for ID of the stud rather than ID of the dog TBH!!!

Oh yes...I get ya now. Thankies! Bit like you see greyhounds with mutilated ears as some of the racing ones get it done?

[/ QUOTE ]Yup I should imagine so!!
