I’ve no idea why, he was fed as usual yesterday and went for his walk as usual, he wasn’t fed any snacks.... but you can hear his stomach gurgling across the room! He keeps going out into the garden to eat grass, and as it’s raining he is a very wet resentful terrier..... ?

I think I might try changing him back to a raw diet, he hates eating dog food ?

Poor little George! And why aren't you a better owner, you should go out there and stop the rain, so he can eat the grass he wants without having to get all this wet?

My girls sometimes eats a bit of grass periodically, for example it seems more likely to happen when they shed their hairs twice a year, when the weather changes and gets a bit too warm/is about to change from one season to another so they think they might need to start to shed, but most likely it happpens when they've managed to eat too much natural treats (aka hare/roe deer/elk/horse/cat poop, pine cones etc) out on walks.

I hope his gurgling stomach soon calms down, so he feels better, and thereby can stay indoors, and dry up. {{{Hugs}}} to both George, and you.

Mine was the same last night. I actually had trouble getting to sleep with the noise her belly was making. I’ve no idea what caused it but I’m also looking to change her food again. The one she’s been on doesn’t seem to suit her. She’s another who would happily live on human food but it doesn’t agree with her at all.

Poor George, my Hector often has a gurgly tummy, when it's bad he starts running backwards and eating grass. it usually clears up quite quickly. One time a few years ago it was obviously very painful and the vets ended up opening him up but nothing was found, I think he's just quite sensitive.

‘Blurgh..... I had some tea but it was dog food, I’m so badly treated.....’

As she was thinking of raw but this being cold pressed is meant to be the next best thing. Her dogs love it.

oooo that’s interesting thank you! He’s hardly going to be expensive whatever I feed him, so it will be worth experimenting to find something he actually likes I think ??

It's got a good nutritional rating on all about dog food and a low ash number as well. I might look into that when Clover is a year old and time to wean her off puppy food

I don't feed puppy food at all. (Not saying you shouldn't, each to their own). Mine are on Wolf of Wilderness at the moment but the Markus Muehle is cheaper.

I'm too much of a newbie to change just now but I have been thinking about it in the future. She's a good weight and vets are happy so will stay as is but I am researching other foods and will add the ones you said to the list

Umm, my little chap particularly likes a cup of tea (milk no sugar) and a jam sandwich. Best not to ask how I know this...:oops:

You've reminded me of a conversation with someone who's dog was very fat and as a concession she said she would stop giving her porridge for breakfast and I snarked 'yeah you might want to cut out the toast and jam too' and she replied 'oh no, she doesn't like jam, she just takes it buttered'

How's he doing today?

He is as right as rain today thanks MrsM ? He came with me and Millie to visit my mum today, my sister/niece/nephew also were there (not entirely sure whether that’s allowed with social distancing ?) so it was a lovely fun lunch and George was impeccably behaved ? He still refused dog biscuits when my mum fed hers at ‘biccy time’ mind you ? although he ate his tea when he got home ?

I know I’m a sad owner but he is flat out asleep snoring this evening, he is just SO sweet ❤️❤️❤️
