I have unfortunately come across a new and horrible type of animal cruelty. I am posting this awful image to provide an educational aspect for all horse owners and lovers out there.

Please keep your eye out for this

Tell-tale signs to looks for;
- Hungry Yard staff
- Ponies being nommed
- Missing ears.

:( please be on the look out, together, we can stop these horrid acts.

Honestly, there are more efficient ways to eat horses

I start by lopping their heads off. I then leave the head to marinade in its own juice, preferably in a springy, sheeted environment - like a bed. The rest of the body is then chopped up, minced and pressed into burgers or sawn into steaks and cooked as appropriate for the cut. I particularly like barbecuing a ned-burger :D

Obviously the op is a bit of a rough & ready horse muncher tho, otherwise she would have hat & hi viz on for dining.

Which one had a bath lol?
I think its a way of marking horses to come back & steal later on!

I was worried, some of her mane was rubbed and it looked like there had been a plait in it :S should i be worried?

sickening, the fear and terror in that poor neddies eyes is heartbreaking :D

I know, she looks so depresssed :D

How cruel - look how traumatised the poor horse is ;)

Utterly broken down, dull-coated, the lot :(

What is your facination with beheading my horse?! lol

Noooo have you not seen oliver!, you don;t feed staff, they get gruel and water. If they have meat they get high spirited. :D

Is it maybe some weirdo form of natural horsemanship? Just got me thinking, kicking yesterday, being eaten today, didn't kick today. QUICK! Make an instructional dvd on ear chewing!

I feel this is the right time to out myself (anonymously of course) - I nom ponies, cats and dogs.
I only nom my own, so no one elses animal is at risk; I am discreet, and none are harmed - just a bit soggy.
I wish, sometimes, I could stop, that I didn't have this compulsion, that I was normal - but then it happens again.
I don't know how it started; was it a childhood trauma, a lack of something in my upbringing, I'm not sure.
Therapy? Would it help? I don't know. Maybe hypnosis is the way to go, or a restraining order?
I feel by 'owning up', I may help other nommers come out, and admit their problem.

You are not alone........now, where's that kitten?

black_horse - obviously an extreme case of nomming (plus some crunching). I think you need to be honest with yourself, and realise the true extent of your problem. Maybe self-muzzling when out and about is a necessary evil, if only to protect others. I think facts have to be faced here - you may have to be physically restrained from nomming the innocent.

The Nommers Clique or Nommers Anonymous (try saying that with a mouthful of ear tuft) is a safe (read: padded) place (read: cell) for us to express ourselves without fear of reprisals or ridicule.

My friends, pull up an ear........oops sorry, beanbag.

*sad face* there was a little bit of crunching, but i thought dee was enjoying it :(

True i couldnt really tell as she had no ears to point forwards/back/out sideways, they were nommed yesterday. I want to kiss her muzzle but worried ill be tempted to have a little nibble.

Ha! My suspicions have been confirmed! Let me guess, definitely no kicking since your last pic was taken? You can do a whole 'control mareish behavior' tour. Much cheaper than regumate & you're guaranteed lunch at every demo!
