After having a ball at dressage on Sunday I was looking forward to going for a quiet evening hack so did all jobs and even brought my tack down ready, went up to get her in from the field and could see this cut a mile off
got her in and had a proper look, was about 2 and half inches long and was the whole layer of skin so you could see the fleash underneath and was open to about 1cm. Was umming and arring as whether to ring the vet or not, and decided I'd ring for a bit of advice.
Well he was absolutly fab
gave me instructions to wash it, super glue it back together (!) and butterfly steristrip it over the top.
The cut almost looked as if it was cut with a scapel it was so clean so was easy to literally stick back together, and she was good as gold for all this, she feels a wee bit sorry for herself and kept nuseling me to make me feel bad lol.
But I've left her happily munching hay and am popping to vets tomorrow to pick up some anti biotics.
Bit of a pointless post really
