Poor Kia

Still no poo :( has had a big wee though so that's good and is still begging for food and alert enough so hoping at the next check we will have poo so as he can have some more slop and a small haynet of hay .

Not long back from walking him again. He seems happy enough in himself and had a big wee wee and then shouted at me if I so much as went near the hay. I hung about for 20mins after walking him and skipped my own guys out hoping a poo would follow but nothing. Will head back round in a bit and check again and give him some more sloppy feed. Fingers crossed for poop.

Never have I been so pleased to see horse poo. I went up around 2am and he had done a little poo so he got more sloppy sugar beet and a little hay. Went back up at 6am and hes done 3 piles of poo. Don't think he could quite understand why I was so very happy with him. He seemed a little confused as to why I was at the yard at stupid o'clock and why I was happy dancing in his stable. I will get a few more hours shut eye and go back ul and turn them all out

Great news! Know the feeling too well, you never think you could be so happy about seeing a horse poo until they have colic :p

So glad he is improving he is such a cutie :) Colic is the worst and I usually have a break-down and turn into a jabbering wreck at the first signs of it.

Thank you everyone for the vibes and wishes they have clearly worked :) he got turned out your a bit today and was fine with his pals back in the field :)

He is a lot happier, we are still bring cautious as to how much hay he is getting and he's still only getting beetpulp and alfalfa pellets as a sloppy feed for a few days but we seem to be on the mend. He's also had a dose of old fashioned horse colic tonic from my dad and I've got more incase he presents again.

The tiny feed being scoffed

Jammie's on and small haynet to see how he is, will get hay again later if ok after this net.

Bless him. Glad he seems ok now. Long may it continue.
Well done to everyone who took such good care of him last night. He's lucky to have such caring people around him. You are all stars. xx
