Some of you may remember a few months back my friend was in a difficult position. She had a very nervous little pony who she was working with but could no longer afford to keep so had to sell :( She sold him in october to a woman who sounded ideal, as a companion for her horse and she had the time to work with him. She said my friend could visit him if she liked and he went off to his new home. My friend came across him back up for sale as "sonic" (hes called henry - see link to NED details on ad :rolleyes:) this morning :(

This is the bit that has us confused ..

He came to us having been rescued from people who for their own amusement thought it amusing to constantly kick and ill treat this little pony.

My friend did NEVER mistreat this pony, nor did the people she bought him from hes just a naturally nervous boy whos never had the time spent on him :mad:

Pretty much all the advert is lies :o He was fine being groomed, lunged, led and was eating from my friends hand when he left hers, and from the looks of his ad they cant even catch him now .. :(
I really really hope the poor little guy ends up in a loving home as he deserves it :(
 
Wish you where closer Id of gone and got him in a heart beat he looks like a sweet natured little thing. We've got a shetland called Charlie who was very much like him when he came to us but 4 years down the line he is a very happy chappy and the character of the yard.

I hope someone nice picks him up and he goes on to have a settled happy life with routine and patience
 
This is the risk you take when selling on, unfortunately. Poor Henry - he looks a lovely lad.

Has your friend been to visit him as offered by the new owner?

Could she ask to go and visit him, not letting on that she has seen the ad, and see how he really is? I guess buying him back is out of the question as she had to sell him in the first place.

She cant at the moment shes hurt her knee and is stuck at home :( But its a might be worth a try! No she cant afford to buy him back or keep him unfortunatly :(
 
could you rescue him how much did they want £120? offer £100 cash and take him, that way you know he has a great home and your friend could visit whenever she wanted? xxx

I wish i could, but i can barely afford to keep the two i have now :( Otherwise i would in a heartbeat
 
could you then loan him to a young girl or boy wanting their first pony(to stay on your field)? could your friend help split the cost? Im trying to think of as many ways as possible for you xxx

Sorry, have I just read that correctly! You are suggesting loaning a pony to a child as a first pony when he obviously has some serious confidence issues and needs an extremely knowledgeable owner to bring on?
 
Lovely pony, does sound like they have bitten off more than they could chew.

I am a little confused as they give the impression that they can't catch him but in the photo his mane and tail looks well brushed out.

I'm the person who used to own Henry. I wasn't too sure abiut posting so monty went and did it for me! :)

His mane and tail always looked as if they'd just been brushed even if he'd been left ungroomed for a few days, as did his coat :)

I have asked a friend if she will buy him, as when I had him for sale she was interested but couldn't afford what I was asking (incidently he was sold to this person for a great deal less than I wanted!) and she is going to ring them tomorrow to see if she can arrange a viewing. She's not going to tell them she knows me or that I used to have him, just going to act like a person genuinley interested in buying him, which she is. Hopefully this will all go well and she will have him, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much.
