Disgusting, I genuinely don't understand how people can be cruel to any animal. If you can hurt something that looks to you for support and care then IMHO you are a terrible excuse for a human being.

Just been reading the comments and poor pony hasn't been found yet

I saw a similar situation in Kirklees several years ago, a pony was tied behind a cart on a really long rope, as the cart turned a corner the horse was able to reach the other side of the road right into oncoming traffic with the rope stretched taught across the road. I got the registration and phoned 999 but unfortunately in this case it was travellers and they had reached the campsite before police caught up with them so as the police didn't see it themselves they couldn' t do anything.
Luckily,on that occasion no-one was hurt, horse included, but I always wonder what happened to the horse. That was a skewbald, about 14.3/15hh at a guess but I was in a low seated fiesta so difficult to judge height.

Thankfully the horse has been located and will be recieving veterinary attention
