Poor, poor horse

I guessed it might be that one..... he was over there >>>> the other day

it doesnt actually look 3 to me in those pics, it looks v v immature. or just has really bad confo. either way probably best off in a new home.

Goodness me, poor mite. It'll be hard work sorting those front legs out, I agree that I certainly wouldn't be riding it. Price seems rather optimistic.

It amazes me that

a, h&h will accept an ad for a horse that is clearly not what is offered and is in a poor way

b, that anyone would let there horse get in that condition with the feet

Poor thing, he is a lovely looking lad, I would love to take him

saw him the other day and thought 'gods, my 3yr old has it lucky!' If he was a couple of hundred quid he could have come home and lived with me.........

wish i did, he's probably shine up quite well with some tlc. even if i had the money though he is too young for me, i'm not good with young stock

He is 12.2 with poor conformation and a 3 year old.If he was well bred it would state it so assume he isnt. Not that it would make a lot of difference but at least you could take a chance on him coming right in time. He might be a mothers dream at the moment but get him up to weight, a lot fitter, and his feet sorted and he might not be. Worth a punt at £250 if you have a decent rider to break him properly, good grazing at home to lessen the costs, a farrier for a husband, and a vet as a lover;) (or the other way round) but tbh it is a very limited market and he is probably not worth the effort.

Hence £250. That really is what he is worth at the moment. Sadly, if that tbh.

ETA Reply was to Tiggycat! This new forum is rubbish! All this quoting malarkey!

am going of sock on front near side as it kind of dips a bit

but yup :( lovely saddle too, and had nervous kids on it at 2..... should we be surprised that dragon driving and collie pup ads come up too? probably not :(

fumanchu... yes I have to say when I saw the current chestnut ad I thought it was unusual for hho, much more horsemart/dragon driving to be expected, I do think hho should have some responsiblity here.

So H&H are willing to make money out of horses being broken to ride at 2! Good grief, everyone gets their pound of flesh out of this lot don't they? :(

yet members aren't allowed to comment on shonkie dealers and dodgy adverts......
Presumably because the magazine is taking their cut............ I am actually finding it hard to believe that a supposedly reputable equestrian magazine is prepared to take the money for these ads, who is the dodgy dealer in this instance, the 'dealer' or the magazine for allowing this to go in. Have they no ethics at all, or do they believe that that is a county in the south east of England?
