Poor, poor horse

Fumanchu - can anyone???

Michellice - what can I say? - appalling, that little thing shouldn't have anyone on its back...OMG. All one can hope for is that someone offers it a good home. On the other hand.....who bred it and why????

And the sad thing about these adverts is if any one is mug enough to buy, or buys from pity then the dealer will just do again and again, and they will get younger and younger until it is a foal being ridden.

Just noticed the dealer is mascarading as a private seller surely they can be reported for this!

Good god, i would have thought they are getting abusive calls nevermind interest in there adverts. Terrible...How can people think that horses in that condition are suitable to advertise.

yikes - I can't believe those adds!!! - what's the answer tho..... if you buy the poor beasties then you only give the idiots more money to go buy another poor pony :(

(and yikes also at the kids and the poor foal!)

Scary, glad there were no pics of the foal backing out. No ramp.

Why scary? Perfectly simple, you TEACH your horses to STEP UP and DOWN. Much less hassle, you have two doors and can load or unload one at a time, no lifting ramps. I certainly won't ever be buying another ramped trailer if I have the choice. We have one like this here, 16', brilliant. Horses hop in and out and travel just fine.

Think "scary" might also have been referring to small child loading foal, and ending up on the floor...

When I said 'scary' I was referring to the original post and the other two ads from the same seller, not the child leading the foal in the horse box without a ramp.

yet members aren't allowed to comment on shonkie dealers and dodgy adverts......
Presumably because the magazine is taking their cut............ I am actually finding it hard to believe that a supposedly reputable equestrian magazine is prepared to take the money for these ads, who is the dodgy dealer in this instance, the 'dealer' or the magazine for allowing this to go in. Have they no ethics at all, or do they believe that that is a county in the south east of England?

I was about to make this point! We are not allowed to speak about Franch 'welfare' or dodgy dealers, but H&H are happy to make money out of these.

I don't buy the magazine anymore.

Wish I could say I was shocked.....but sadly not.
Certain "people" like them in harness and tack before the poor buggers have been barely weaned.
They just dont seem to understand, they will get a better, stronger, longer lasting animal if its allowed to mature first. But sadly its all about £££ signs.

wow, this is disgusting. i can't believe someone would even contemplate getting on a 2 year old, especially one as immature looking as this one.
some people shouldn't be allowed to be let near a horse.

there are plenty of people out there who can't afford a horse but if they had one, they would treat it with all the love and respect in the world - then you get people like the owner of this pony. it's totally unfair that someone so irresponsible is allowed to post adverts like that on a well known horse advertising website - you'd think all of the adverts would be moderated.

Have been thinking Horses/Ponies for sale advertisements in H&H have been going down hill for some months, not sure what the reason is, I would like to think it is not finance driven, as if it is, what right does H&H have to censor any replies on here about "dodgy dealers" etc. I think it all started with the horses for sale for under £1000 page, which they then withdrew, that really used to get me started.

i am so tempted to send the text i have written out to the number in the ad asking to explain why the horse is being ridden when it looks so immature, and why its front feet are so awful.

don't know if im prepared for all of the drama to fly back in my face though lol

This is so sad, one of the concerning things is that they obviously have more horses and will continue to buy.

Is it worth sending link to WHW or something?

i think its appauling! but unfortunatly there are horses all over the world like this and worse, its only when there is adverts like this that you see them.

Omg, that black one looks like a 40 year old pony that's had a hard life... either that or its never had food since it was weaned :(

ha! i sent a message to them saying - "hi i saw your ad about a 'three' year old cob, can i ask why you have backed this pony as he looks extremely immature and unfit for ridden work? barely looks 2 years old, just wondering. thanks"

and got a very rude "GET A LIFE!" reply.
how very professional of them!!
