well iv saved up for a horsebox...

and heres what happenned,

most people now like me 21, cant drive over 3.5tonne cant tow... (even if u can cant afford ins on a 4x4)

found an R reg ldv with cab on back brand never had a horse in it was LOVELY new for 3,995.

couldnt believe my luck rang loads of times about it and said once id done my exam at uni fri i'd ring and arrange to come view....

man knew nothing about horses and or boxes (said it could caryy a horse of around 5 hands haha)

anyway guess what some miss moneypenny went on friday slagged the box to the ground and got it cheep!! she said i wouldnt be able to do all "the work" it needed on it
for eg put rubber mats on floor put slats on ramp and put tie rings on!

garanteed we'll se it advertised again soon for a price i cannot afford

im sooo mad... the guy phoned to tell me like he'd done me a favour
i told him he'd had his pants pulled down.

so now i have to wait to see if i can ever find a realisticly priced box again.

anyway its really biugged me

am i the only person who looks at these piles of sh*t for £5,000-£7,000 and just wonders WHO buys them?

I don't understand what you're ranting about, you called about it lots of times, but didn't go and see it, so totally unsurprisingly he sold it to someone else...

oh i forgot to put he sold it for well below the asking price.
thought he would have asked me for the asking price first.

anyway if you get the jist of it im ranting about the whole horsebox situation.

Well he's the seller, it's up to him if he wants to do that. I don't understand why you think he owed you first refusal when you'd not been to see it and as far as I can make out from your post, nothing like that had been agreed....

oh my god your so dull.
yes he is the owner seller whatever i was just gutted.
im not saying he should have i just thought he would have before selling it cheeper.
jesus wept please dont put another post on.

If you don't want people to answer with their honest opinions, then don't post
smirk.gif

I just genuinely didn't understand the point of your rant, as I couldn't see that the seller owed you anything.

As far as I can tell you're just bitter that someone else beat you to a bargain - it happens in this business!

I don't think there's any need to start calling me names...

Puppy, I don't think OP had any problem with you saying what you think, but it's the sarcasm and smirks in your posts which come a/x as ....... nah, I won't say it, I'll let you work that one out for yourself.
It seems almost an intentional thing designed to wind people up. Maybe time to re-think the little smirks?? (which do have a habit of appearing on most replies to people).

Not getting into a row, just making a point. MY opinion, MY observations.

ok lets start fresh
my rant is this
horse boxes are the most overprice peices of crap in the world.
am i right?
for £4grand i may as well tie my horse to the back of my car its prolly safer!

My opionion my observation is that you are S**t Stirring for some reason. I thought you were trying to play nice from now on or do you want the New Lounge banned as well.

I didn't think Puppy had posted anything wrong, the OP seems a little upset and sensitive by the whole thing. BTW if a R reg is on at £3995 there is something seriously wrong with it so you probably had a very lucky escape

Katy, instead of making this thread about YOU and any posts that I've ever made to YOU in the past, check the thread in question.

I was nothing but frank in my replies, no sarcasm. The OP was rude to me before I used a
smirk.gif

In fact, I think you were the one initially in this thread who used smilies to try and provoke a response. Or maybe that's just my opinion...

Bummer, never mind hopefully you'll find another one soon, and know next time to go and view ASAP. They do come up, although you probably see loads of rubbish 1st. I ended up buying a P reg one for £3000 two years ago (which needed a new clutch and floor), but got that and ramps redone for less than £1000, so worked out O.K.

So sorry you missed out. These good boxes do come along, I would be tempted to ask around, farrier etc. When we needed money quick we let our lorry go for a song. There are always people needing to get hold of cash quick and let a box go if needed. Its just about being in the right place at the right time. I am sure it will come again.

Well I don't know about "over priced" given how much fun they can open up to you if you have one. However, I can relate to your frustration about the expense of them. I think most people are in the same boat there.

I know I am...

woah! I just don't see the need for little smirk smileys at the end of posts, almost asif they're pleased about having a go at someone!
I don't like your insinuations re me stirring. Why should I have to keep quiet when i see someone blatantly being rude to another member?
The fact that OP was talking of a timescale of 3 days, just don't feel there was any need for this jumping down her throat over her feeling a bit gutted about missing out on going to se it. If she seems a little upset about it then is that reason more to dig the knife in??

Puppy was not rude to Carmenlucy nor did she jump down her throat - You however were VERY rude to Puppy - but I guess thats OK as you are xxKatyxx

piebald and filly thanks so much thats all i wanted!

think iv started h&h forum war but hey.

[/ QUOTE ]

No you didn't - I hope you find a box soon.

Would it not be cheaper to get a 4x4 and a trailer?
Im 25 and have got my 4x4 insurance really really cheap through a company who specialise in land rovers! I couldnt believe it so rang up to check that the amount they quoted was right - yes it was and not only cheap it included free road side assistance! I pay about £30 a month for the insurance on my disco and mum bought me an Equitrek for my girlies to travel in.

Id have a look at getting a 4x4/trailer rather than a wagon - but thats me as I dont think id want another wagon after the last one I had.

Are you reading the same thread??

Where was I blatantly rude?? Where was I smirking before the OP was rude to me??

Jeeezzzzz!!

BTW, OP, I totally agree with DD:

so using a smirk after someone's rude to you, means you're almost glad they've replied in that way? sorry, it seems that way to me.

I havent a lue what planet you're on but I never once mentioned any posts you'd made to me. This is something which comes up agian and again, but infact I was referring to apost the other day where someone had replied to someone feeling angry with a little smirk. I sat on my hands then, I felt that post a little bitchy, but kept quiet.

Where have i made this about me??? The only thing i said was it was MY opinion. Or am I not allowed that either???

I used a grin smiley as I felt the OP was being very upfront, it was clear OP felt upset and IMO there wasnt any need for the rudeness.

when you said about her calling you names... then smirked. Were you pleased that this reaction had been provoked?

Thank you DieselDog, for a moment there I thought I was reading a different thread to everyone else....

KK read this back an apologise for stating you were rude in your first post. Maybe you didnt mean to come a/x that way. BUT I do think that the little smirk after OP had called you a name was a bit uncalled for. Just a statement of "there wasnt any need for that" perhaps with a smiley to illustrate how you felt... confused, shocked whatever, but to me smirk comes across as self satisfied.
And I apologise foe laughing at OP calling you dull. At the time it was funny, in retrospect very immature of me to react in that manner.

*slopes off*.

No, it means you are not bothered/reacting/blowing up in response to those who disagree with you or are being rude, by calling you "dull" or whatever.

Good lord, it's like groundhog day... when have I ever said you can't have an opinion....? I just said you were very much mistaken about how you interpret my posts - but I think we all knew that already.

Well I guess we shall have to disagree about one anothers use of smiles then won't we.

Well I think calling me a name was uncalled for. Surely using a smiley to show I wasn't bothered was far better than blowing up or calling names back in response?!

Once again, apology accepted, thank you.

Horsebox buying is crap escpecially seen as the whole 3.5t thing is making it even harder!

As for the smirky thing, clearly Puppy only smirked in retaliation to the 'dull' comment, therefore not Puppy's fault. Case closed.
