Poor chap ,he hasn't jumped since last October and has only done about 10 courses in his life, he has been working hard on his dressage for the regionals, he has been doing lateral work and a bit of collection ,then suddenly today he has to deal with jumps again.
Our arena at home is too slippery to jump so poor thing must think we are mad.His dressage canter should be good enough to jump from but to be honest he needs to go forward more to jump and make the distances.So it was ''come on Rafi lets get going'' He did the british novice at Solihull he was spooky and got 3 strides in the two stride double, but went clear, it was a 2 phase so straight on to jump off.He was getting tired but did a good round unfortunately jumping the stile a little awkwardly and having it down. The Sunday after the regionals he has a RC team sj qualifier so he needed today and ,of course ,he is qualified for the spillers CT at BD winter champs so he will need regular work on his jumping now , but where to find the time!
