I do hope that he perpetrators are caught. I certainly think that our animal abuse sentences should be based on the amount of suffering caused, if the perpetrators ever actually get to court.

Like the young lad I saw in the car this morning that aimed for the pigeon and deliberately drove his car at it leaving a massive puff of feathers in the air.
I saw him pick up speed and drive at it. I turned the car immediately around to go and put it out of its misery and couldn't see it despite getting out of the car and searching for it and making myself late for work.

Sometimes I despair of humanity, I really do. I don't think they have any empathy for living creatures these days.
