woke up this am and it was tipping it down, so ran straight over to zakkie(7.45 am it was a challenge!!) and he was looking sorry for himself driping wet and shivering like bilio!(he didnt have rug on as it was sunny day before)poor baby.....so i brought him in, and he wouldnt walk into the rain he walked sideways, was very funny. anyway so i got him into the barn and he was even more shivery, rubbed him down etc and rugged him, gave him warm water and somw warm water in his feed-can you tell he is spoilt?hehe well by the time i left he was nicely tucked up and cosy, leaving me to walk back in the downpour home. this is quite a pointless post but im bored. lol

my girls didnt look particularly happy this morning that it was raining but they havent got rugs on and I left them standing in the rain in the field. Both of my shiver when they get cold and wet but they are horses - they wont melt if they get wet!

I know what you mean. If you are happy spoiling him then carry on doing so. I cant afford to spoil all of mine as I wouldnt have time to do anything else! With 5 of them id be living at the yard! Of course they get everything they need (or I want them to have) but a bit of rain wont hurt them - unless they come in looking like hippos then I know I shouldve rugged them up! Its a good job 2 of them are getting bathed today ready for the show tomorrow so the hippos may turn back in horses
