Poorly BT any advice?

Hello,
I've never posted in AAD's, but I'm hoping you can offer some advice? On of my family's BT's has been sick about 6 times in the last 2 hours. It's liquid rather than food that's coming up. He's had a pretty normal day, breakfast Inc some leftover sausages, he also scavenged in the bin for the empty cat food tin, but is known for doing this and worse. He's usually pretty hardy, a happy go lucky, tinker type character but is obviously upset by something.

He could be picking up on the fact all the family are Ill with bugs, including one of the babies being in hospital? Either way can any one offer some advice? He's not so bad to call the vet, Well not yet, I don't think, but if anyone can suggest things to make him more comfortable that would be great. Sorry if its confusing/mixed up im on the iphone and its not so easy to re read!

If he's been vomiting,so frequently and for so long,he needs to be seen by a vet,before he becomes dehydrated and needs hospitalisation.
 
You said he raided the bin, were there any other christmas left overs in the bin? Could he have possibly gotten hold of a turkey/chicken bone? As said earlier, if there's a risk of him becoming dehydrated by the amount of times and volume of sick he's produced then you need to consult a vet.
 
Thankfully, no more sick for the last hour and is now having a cuddle on the sofa! We'll keep an eye on him during the night. Don't think he got hold of anything else in the bin, nothing else was meaty, we've been too sick ourselves to cook properly the last few days.

Dohhh! 99% sure it's the fireworks now, which started early in the village and coincides with his sickness, hence why he's now stopped. I forgot how much he hates them, he doesn't usually live here but after going AWOL and a new baby at his mummy house he's come to live with his BT cousin. Feeling silly but relaxed now we know what it is. Poor pooch!
 
Sorry - only just seen your post! :o

Bear The Border was poorly earlier in the year with similar symptoms to your BT. As he was so small, he was at the vet's more or less immediately. As well as giving him something to make him feel better (sorry, can't remember its name!:o:o), she suggested that in future, plain natural yogurt (the real plain stuff - no fruit etc.) would help settle an upset tummy. She also suggested a small amount of cottage cheese mixed with rice - also helps promote appetite as well as helping the gut flora back into action.

Bear has a spoonful of yogurt (home made!) most mornings when OH has his, and three or four times a week gets some cottage cheese and plain boiled rice.

My little bitch is a bit fussy with food, and if she takes a dislike to something will yak it all up.

I too try to feed her bland things, chicken, rice, a little scrambled eggs etc - will add yoghurt to that list as well as her JWB normal food.

Glad he's feeling a wee bit brighter.
