Meowy Catkin
Meow!
I'm so worried and the Vet is doing lots of tests today to try and identify exactly what is going on.

Two weeks ago he was in a cat fight and had five puncture wounds on one of his front legs. We took him straight to the Vet's and they clipped the leg, cleaned it up and gave him a painkilling injection and AB's.
We had to rush him back later the same day because he had stopped drinking (and eating) and it was a very hot day and he was becoming very dehydrated. He was then kept in overnight on a drip and improved alot. We were able to take him home at lunchtime the following day. Two hours after coming home he had caught a rabbit and eaten as much of it as he could stuff in.
He had a course of AB tablets which I was able to give him with no trouble.
Last saturday he went downhill again, so he went back to the Vet's. He was very dehydrated again, he also had no colour in his eyelids and gums. He had some blood taken and it was very dark and thick. He stayed there on a drip until Monday when he had started to eat and drink again. Once home he patrolled the garden and sprayed various flower pots as he normally would. He also played with his kitten (well young cat) and was eating and drinking normally.
This morning he was lethargic again, he was also dehydrated and had the pale gums etc... So back to the Vet's again.
The blood tests were back. He is NOT anemic and everything was in normal range (he was also neg for FIV). Heart sounds fine but his temp was 104 (it had always been normal before). The Vet is also not sure that it is related to the original bite.
The Vet will be ringing me later today. Hopefully with an answer that is treatable. This little cat is irreplaceable, he's such an character (eg, if you are brushing your teeth and he wants a hug, he'll just climb up into your arms if you don't stop and pick him up quickly).
Please send get well vibes, he really needs them.
