HI,
I have a 7 year old lurcher who is normally the most boisterous dog known to man! However for the last couple of days he's been really lethargic & sleepy to the point where I am concerned about him.
He's eating/weeing/pooing normally (though his appetite is not quite as large as normal) and his gums etc all look normal colour. He's still keen to go for a walk and does run about though nothing like his normal mad gallop!
I also don't think he's in any pain as he's the biggest wimp and also very vocal - he just seems really depressed and lethargic.
If it persists I will obviously take him to the vets.I just wondered if anyone had any ideas or experienced something similar?

as has been stated...My dog is exactly the same at the mo. seasons change always effect him in this exact way. Kind of like an adjustment period.

You know your dog, and if this is not his normal character then I think it would be worth the time to pop him into the vet's for a check up if he hasn't perked up a bit in a couple of days.

Does he have a temperature? Is he eating and drinking normally?
