i wormed my puppy yesterday, following the instructions he had three tabs, he weighs 5kg, he was fine yesterday during the day, last night he was a bit uncomfortable and couldnt settle, this morning he has been sick a few times, and doesnt want anything to eat, is this just the wormer working or should i be worried, hes just sleeping now and seems a little more comfortable

It is also very normal for them to pass loose faeces after worming, did the tablets come in a packet of some sort with a product name and dosage on them

, im assuming they where not just loose tablets.

Hes a Sibe x BS isnt he? sibes can have quite sensitive stomachs as it is, it most likely will be the wormer just working through the system

What are you currently feeding it took us a while to find the right food for our two

What wormer did you use? My Yorkie can't have Drontal, it makes him sick and very poorly. So he has Milbemax instead. This is quite common. You may have to talk to your vet and try a different wormer next time.

If it came in the puppy pack and was one of the supermarket/pet shop type wormers then I would try Milbemax next time (from the vet).

Pet shop wormer then?, and gusto, im sure is a low quality dog food, they sell adult bags of gusto in my local shop for £4.50 for a 15kg sack

, I would think about a better quality food once the effects of the worming have subsided, do this gradually using the old food if u do decide to change, to prevent masses of loose faeces

also I would go to the vets for your next wormer.
As cyrus suggests huskys have sensitive tums, but if it ersist, I would have hims get him checked by the vet.
Any piccies?

Gusto is a VAT free working dog food certianly not what the little mite needs at the moment
If you are wanting to keep him on a complete food go for something of good quality e.g James Wellbeloved or Nutro both have had all the additives removed, but as Cala states mix it over gradually otherwise you`ll still have lots of runny stools
Also check how much your feeding, amounts stated on bags of complete food are usually too high

A little tip though add a table spoon of bio yogurt to his meals twice a week that will help balance his stomach bacteria or give him a raw chicken wing, keep a hold of it though until he learns to chew and not just swallow it lol

Aww he is a cutie

I hope we get growing up piccies too

Feed him on something bland chicken and boiled rice until he dries up, then I would introduce the food suggested by cyrus, to give him a good head start in life from his diet
