It's just a bit of fun, I like putting the effort into it. Trust, I used to be a seriously scruffy rider.... ;)

It's ok!! I know what you mean, does look like I'm digging them in - but I roll with my heel instead of a jab with them (think if I jabbed with these, I'd splice him open....). Honestly, in the full albums I'm using the spur less than half the time - think it's just the selection of photos I've chosen.

I am also working on my leg position, but 5 weeks of lazing at uni and 2 weeks lazing abroad hasn't done much for me fitness wise ;) Admit to having to use them more this day than I do normally, but the history of this thread and the previous one explains his lethargy hence....
 
Sorry to be random! But how do you keep your hair so neat! especially hatless, if i ride without my hat I end up looking like the crazy witch from harry potter! Please share your hair do tips!!

Haha!! Think it helps that a, my hair is so long and b, all the same length.

Step by step: scrape back in low nape ponytail. I use a large bun ring (claires accessories, boots, equine showing websites etc) but if your hair is shoulder length or above I'd use a smaller ring otherwise you won't cover it and end up with a spikey effect. Pull ponytail through bun ring and flop over the ring with your head tilted forward and feel with your fingers to pull the hair over the netting. Check in a mirror every so often to spy any bare bits. Hair band over that. Then split the hair round the edge into two and wind round the ring and secure with as many grips as you want (push the grip under and out to the sides, it doesn't slip as much). Hair spray the **** out of it! Worth checking where your hat sits to see how high/low it needs to go. I don't use a hair net unless I'm at a comp, but if you've got lots of layers (like I used to) it's worth the effort. Practice makes perfect, years of showing has made me a dab hand but honestly it is super easy!
 
Seahorse - Wow!! They do look v similar! Yours has a slightly finer cut face than Bruce, but you're right! Both have big pink nose, the barely there blaze and of....are gorgeous!!
