Bloody hell at least you go in riding gear, I go into to Tesco all the time after the yard with muck covered stinking trainers, trousers and my oh's filthy disgusting fleece covered in horse/dog hair

The staff must think I'm a tramp lol

Never been asked to leave mind

thank god!

ha ha I do agree about the chavs etc they cause more offence in my eyes, my boots are mud free and il bung a bit of body spray on, ive got to take back two discusting peppers as they where mouldy inside and a catapiller was in one as well, so im the one who will be complaining, lol.

Nah... just go, I go on my way home from the stables all the time. Often covered in mud and horse dribbles down my jacket.

I'm afarid if i got asked to leave i would go mental!! They dont ask people smelling of BO to leave, farriers smelling of smoke, mechanics stinking of oil etc so why should we?!

I go into the garage and local tesco my horsey gear but try to look sort of tidy!
I might depend on where the shop is, mine is very near a horsey area so i suppose they are used to it.
But if i was going into a shop in Clifton i think i would be thrown out!

I wouldn't bother changing. At the weekend I always go to Budgens/Tesco/Sainsburys with my horse stuff on, I feel fine as long as my boots are cleaned and I've brushed my hair! I couldn't care less what anyone else thinks of me!

I haven't been asked to leave yet either.

defo! lol

I always go to tesco with my horse stuff on - probably leaving shavings and muck behind me! Haven't been asked to leave yet, but do get some unimpressed looks! I would definitely refuse to leave though - or ask them to remove all the smelly BO people who work there as well!!

I spread mud over the floor at my local garage/Tesco metro the other day and was

at myself - very embarassed. Don't normally mind too much about smell as I'm only in there for a bit, and the body odour of some of their staff has much to be desired

Nope, I do Tesco, Waitrose and M&S straight from the yard - do scrape worst of mud off my boots and hands though. Never had a comment and if they did, I would point out I am a lot cleaner than some of the folks they get in there even straight from the stable.

I used to work in Tesco years ago and every friday this really smelly bloke would come in, he wore the same jumper every week and it looked like it had never been washed or taken off, even in summer.
He smelled so much of stale BO, beer and fags that the aisle would still smell when he had gone and a member of staff would follow him around spraying air freshener!
Nobody ever said anything to him..... which was quite odd as loads of customers would complain about him!

Ive never been asked to leave and i often stop at places such as tesco's express to grab water/lunch/poweraid etc

and i am sue i smell a lot worse than any horse woman/man because of burning on, even trimming can stink if the horse has bad feet/thrush/the owner doesnt pick the feet out/abcess etc.

I do it all the time, but only where I'm not likely to see anyone I know! I do change my boots though and wouldn't do it if I was really muddy.
I think its terrible that people have been thrown out! maybe they will start checking whether your hands are clean before you touch anything too!
