I'm with you on that one - if I'm going shopping from the yard I go in my horse gear. If they don't like it I can spend my money in another shop!

I go in Tesco's or Morrisons in my horsey gear all the time. Always change my shoes and wash my hands if I can, but have gone in for lunch straight from mucking out once or twice when I've had loads to do on the yard and been running late! Never had any comments, and people give me space in the queue... heaven!

I go every where in my riding/yard clothes - wouldn't occur to me to change especially - who has the time?!

I hose of the excess mud from my wellies but that is an attempt to keep the car clean!!

My local Tescos would be half empty if they asked people in riding clothes to leave - mind you there are some who are immaculate but I think they only look at their horses!!

I always go to tesco with my horse stuff on - probably leaving shavings and muck behind me! Haven't been asked to leave yet, but do get some unimpressed looks! I would definitely refuse to leave though - or ask them to remove all the smelly BO people who work there as well!!

I always go in my horsey stuff, and I've left quite a lot of mud behind before now

I read a letter in Horse & Rider magazine yesterday written by someone "offended" by horsey people walking around with wellies etc. on in supermarkets! She said non-horsey people would get annoyed seeing horse poo on the shop floor... I sort of see her point I guess. Personally, I have gone around in Dubarry's on but then they're not used for mucking out!

Nine times out of ten its mud not poo anyway

And what about dog walkers, joggers, kids that have been splashing in puddles, been football training, the list goes on........

They employ people to mop the floors, if we all go in pristine, they might loose their jobs, and in the current climate we should all be helping each other STAY in employment

I certainly don't think the dreaded Tesco worth changing for! I go in wellies quite regularly, much as I despise them, it's the closest place to fill the fridge.
