Popple did her first full day out with the shoot!

And she was an absolute star!

She got complimented about how well she worked the cover.

She was terrifically well behaved, with the exception of one little hiccup, where I hadn't heard we were supposed to get them on leads in anticipation of an especially busy bit of cover that was coming up, which we had to take v slowly, so she got a little far ahead, but only put up the one bird before we got her back, so thankfully no harm done.

At the end of the day she even caught a very healthy looking rabbit, which one of the other beaters very kindly skinned and gutted for me, and is now being prepped for my first attempt at making a rabbit stew!

I'm very proud of her, and absolutely loved seeing her having such fun

Oh, and she didn't half sleep well on Saturday night!

What's more, we earned £30, which will buy a nice lots of biscuits and a new squeaky toy!

I'm afraid not, as it had rained heavily the night before, although we were very lucky with the weather during the day

Seriously, I'd really like to, but it is tricky getting away cause of the horses needs, so when I can, then its good to go where I get to see the family too

Plus Cambridge to Lincs is not such a trek as Cornwall would be
