Poppy Eastwood has been copped..

Must have missed that, sorry! Will have a look. Just remember lots of posts somewhere from people looking for a Poppy Eastwood who'd conned them over saddles sold through Facebook and Ebay, think there was even a Facebook group dedicated to her. Turns out this is she. In another article it says she took £4600 from one woman's bank account after she swiped her purse at a show :eek: you must be so careful these days, we horsey folks are often far too trusting.
 
I am just surprised it has taken so long, its been going on for years. I think perhaps because it was relatively small amounts and people paid by bank transfer the police did not seem to be interested.
 
There is a FB page called scammed by Poppy Eastwood and they also name and shame other scammers. Poppy was sent back to court in June but I can't find an update. Charmaine was sentenced in May. Fraudsters rely on the police not following up relatively small sums of money. However, thanks to the power of the Internet, people can share and then build up the numbers so the police have a case to prosecute.
