OH and I spent Christmas with my parents in Sligo. My brother and SiL were also staying and their baby was baptized on Christmas day which made it a special occasion.

Poppy our JRT had met their lab Inca lots of times, and their mongrel Healy once. My brother brought their two labs as well (mother and daughter) so we had a houseful (of dogs as well as humans).

The three junior dogs had a wet windy walk in the local forest on Christmas afternoon, but the two labs basically played and ignored Poppy who just trotted along behind us.

On Boxing day we decided to take them all to the beach at Strandhill, and goodness me did they have a ball!! There was lots of chasing and rolling and wrestling. Poppy was so pleased that her big 'cousins' were playing with her, she slept the whole of the next day when we were back at home.

Here are some pics...

Looking good! Looks like their having a ball (parden pun!)

First pics looks like my two play fighting!!

the dog you were on about with waist line issues!! If it is in your pics thay I wouldn't be overly worried, just looks like a bitch I new use to go like in the summer time. Bit like a hunter horse out a grass for the summer but would soon get back into shape with less food & a bit more work!! (Really should apply the same to myself!)

Yes - she is the lab with the blue collar (most clearly seen in the third picture down). The other lab is her litter sister and her figure is much more svelte.

Fiona Happy New Year to you all..

She is looking so grown up I can't believe it!! Can't believe she was that tiny wee bundle.. Looks like she knows how to have a bit of fun and I am sure those dogs all slept well the rest of the day..

Fab pictures..

Now W. There are not fab pics at all. I got a new camera for Xmas (Canon SLR) and am still getting to grips with it and just using the automated functions. The motor drive at 3 per sec is v handy though. I may be in contact if I get stuck with it!!!
Happy New Year to you too.

You're being too hard on yourself, nothing wrong with the pictures. Mind you the technical side totally baffles me, I look at the subject and your subjects are beautiful. I am lazy, I rarely take photos leave it all to hubby as you know LOL..

You're going to have loads of fun with the camera, at least you can see results immediately and not have to wait to develope the pictures then wonder want went wrong or right!

Where are the horsey pictures

Haven't done anything with horses to take pics of!! We were away over Boxing day, New Year day hunt was cancelled because of the rain the day before. Hope it runs this Sat, and I can get some then. Have had 2 in farmweek last winter sent in by our master, so fingers crossed will get some nice ones.

Kate got out to children's meet & New Year's day, but I couldn't believe the mud, it was in her very ears, she had a ball though and Bee's jumping was amazing, but she has caught the bug and looking out every weekend now..

Sorry I've hijacked your thread.. keep snapping away (sorry photographers hate that word LOL).

Fabulous pictures of some gorgeous doggies. Reminds me very much of the expansive beach we visit every weekend in summer. Roll on May is what I say!

In regards to the weight, our Tina is the same. She puts on weight when she isn't working but as soon as the shooting season starts she muscles up and loses weight. However, she's still a big girly for a lab. Vet said she def. is big boned also after spaying she got that horrible saggy tummy

Had to laugh, as "big-boned" is Stella's prime complaint. She has the arse of a cob and the thighs of Serena Williams.

Hey - lovely pics of the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. Looks v similar to the west of Ireland actually. Stella looking cute as usual. I need more practice with camera before I can take pics like that.

Poor P has been depressed since we got home, whether because she had to leave her friends behind or because she is season I don't know, but she is not her normal happy little self.

Please don't say that about spaying. One of our cats got a saggy tum, the other didn't to I am trying to put it out of my mind, as hopefully P will be done within the next month or two.

I didn't know that you see, I thought there was something 'else'wrong with her as well. She is really not v keen to get out of bed, esp now with all the snow. OH said it was up to her chest when her took her out this morning. Have you got much??
