Twice a year my horse and I go to a dressage clinic and stay away for 3 nights. The host yard has written into the contact this year that the horse B&B includes 'a small bed'. My horsebox is already rammed full and there is just no room to add any bedding to take with me, so I was thinking about taking a couple of light weight mats as my mare can stand on them in transit so they won't take up much room. She always lays down in the stable, even when we go away and she's a big girl so I don't want her lying on concrete if she's pushed the straw out of the way.
Anyway, my question is about ark mats. They said i would need the 44mm thick mats for my shire mare, but whatever i take needs to be light enough for me to carry from the car park to tge stables which is quite a distance. Any recommendations anyone?
