Michael Whitaker's horse Portafino has gone lame and is back on a plane coming home as not likely to recover before the SJ starts on Friday.
Nick Skelton and Russel to replace them on team GB.
What a shame

What a shame!!!!!!!!

I remember reading the write up about this horse a while back and I was really hoping they did well. It must be heartbreaking for all directly involved.

Does anyone know what happened?

Just realised it was Peppermill I was thinking of.

I am not a showjumping person normally so not hot on names sorry!
