Does anyone have any experience of this breed? My hubby and I have done quite a bit of research and are interested in owning one. All the feedback I have had about them has been really positive so far.

My nearest neighbours own the Brgantia and Rarjo kennel of Portuguese Water Dogs you can look at their site on www.rachael-reddin.supanet.com I'm sure she would be happy to talk to you about the breed.
They seem very much like my own breed - quite wary of strangers - very athletic - and good at most dog 'sports'
If you want to show then they will need to have their hindquarters trimmed ( a bit of an odd look for my taste !).

She's just had a litter but I thnk they've all been spoken for - but you could go on her puppy list for next time if you are really interested.

This is the info I found out from some dog people for you

"Intelligent bright bouncy with a great great love of all things wet - basically high drive working labs with coat "

Grooming apparently not too bad - and there is a bloke that does heelwork to music with one...

Hope that useful!
