Long boot-what do people wear?

I always thought Brogini was considered a 'posh' brand but they seem to be going quite cheaply. Are they not that that great?

By contrast are Konigs worth the extortionate amount of money and if so why? What sets them apart?

And where does Ariat sit in all of that?

Brogini were a brand of DeNiro (I think) now owned by Whitaker, they have boots at the cheap end of the comp scale and boots going up to £300+, so depends which ones you go for!

Konig are world renowned for being world renowned! They are more suited to dressage. I hated my Favorits with a passion, the blisters are still unbarable to think about!!
They are beautiful boots & by contrast to some of the hidious, blinged up boots on the market, they are very classy & elegant!... practically everyone at WEG Dressage was wearing them aswel, which helps with the popularity!

Ariats are really nice boots, more suited to allround work, last very well!
I have a pair of Volants and love them!!

Ultimatly buy what you like & whatever is the most comfortable :)

I have Ariat Heritages' and they're lovely - comfy straight from the box and clean up nicely for comps. I didn't really have any other option due to needing v slim and v short long boots that only Ariat made in the right size! :)

I've got a pair of Sarm Hippique boots what i've had for over 10 years and are fab, only wore them for jumping but they are butter soft and have lasted so well. Only now resigned that my calf's have expanded to a point where they dont fit as well and are hard to do up, boo. Will sell them before i cant do them up at all i think.
These are the really soft ones which are better, the cheaper ones are really hard to break in by all accounts

I bought some of these which are fab, nice and soft and took no breaking in, no idea how well they hold up as horse broke not long after buying them :rolleyes3:

I also have some Bromonts insulated which are ok but i find too thick round the calf so i dont get as close a feel as i do with the others. Good for winter riding and general riding personally.
