Forgive the ignorant stupid person but what is the rne bit all about? Is it the stallions prefix? Presumably if so, only the person it is registered to can use it? Or is it some sort of breed abbreviation? Stunning filly.

Is he the owner of the prefix? Did he breed the stallion? I would check because I was under the impression that only the registered owner of a prefix (reg at central prefix register) can register a horse using that prefix. In fact, I think most breed registers only allow you to use a prefix at all if it's a registered one. I could be totally wrong though, so check! I had this problem with an appaloosa years ago, I couldn't use my own prefix because it wasn't registered.

She's by the stallion RNE SHORE... having bought her from the stallion's owner I don't believe he'd mind the stallions name being used at all.

IF RNE is the stallion owner's prefix which is what it sounds like, then only he should use it to name stock, sorry.

As the RNE is the stallion owners prefix, then unless he bred and named the foal, you will be unable to use it. Why wouldn't you want to use your own Prefix?
