Does anyone have any good tips on how I can stop leaning forward when I ride. My old horse used to lean on me so much that now my position has changed and some times I dont even know that I am doing it. I find myself leaning forward with my upper body.

Any tips welcolme. x:)

Fix a point relatively high on the horizon (or wall if you're inside!) and look to it - you'll find it harder to look at if you're leaning forwards... also will stop you from looking down, which is a huge problem for me! Also, think of bringing your shoulders down - I think a lot of the time when people (me included!) are in a forwards position the shoulders are hunched and tense... I found that bringing them down naturally made me sit straighter. Make sure you're sitting on your seat bones as well, that should help.

I've found that practicing my position/posture when I'm not riding (just sitting/driving etc) helps cos a) gets me into decent habits and b) makes it easier to remind myself to think about it when I am riding!

well ive never leant forward but i have difficulty siiting back while jumping on my little pony and i was told by my numerous people to sit forward and brace your shoulders just think about having a straight line from you ankle hips and shoulders all the time and it should just become natural again :D

wait when i said brace your shoulders i didnt explain i mean brace yourself through your spine without tensing and just kind of pretend you have a huge powerful dressage horse in front of you to hold back that should work ;):p
