The things in common with those two pics are that you need to sit up more and you need to relax your legs and put your weight down into your heels :)

ah thank you ........ we don't get out much coz I don't have transport. However at the local pony club they are doing open clear rounds so going to get the beast out to there this week hopefully.

Best show ground ever! x

I think your seat looks sympathic but overall your abit tense through your shoulder with fixed arms and hands. You also seem to be gripping with your thighes which won't allow you legs to wrap around and makes you bring your heels up.

Ok my horse would be the same. Lots of work without stirrups would be good. Also try this exercise of giving and taking the hands. As your riding around lift your hands up to the proper position. Then one at a time move your hand towards your horses cheek, losing contact, then reposition it. Then repeat with the other hand. But don't make your body in normal position. This will relax your arms from their fixed position. And should stop him frow trying to evade the bit and being on his forehand, as it looks in the 2nd pic.

Looking at the video you need to relax your shoulders and arms. Basically it looks to me that your reins are too short and your not giving with your hands, well you can't give with your hands because your arms are already straight! This means that the rest of your position is being comprimised as you collapse on his neck over the jump.
Lots of flatwork working on getting you relaxed, sat up with more bend in your arms will help you alot :)
