positive update on deano

Great news from the vet today. After two shoeings in heartbars on the front deano is sound all round. Relieving the pain in front has also helped behind and he did not require any injections in his hocks as we were worried he would. His hoof wall has strengthened and the angle of his foot is coming right. He has one more cycle to go and then he can return to normal shoes.
I'm posting this because when the vet said he had to have them and would not manage barefoot I searched for heartbars on here and it made my heart sink. I just wanted to say that sometimes they can work yeay

Great news for you, you must be very pleased. I know I was when my mare had to have egg bar shoes following a tear to her DDFT in her hoof. Shes got back into normal shoes and has been sound ever since.
