Can we all send positive vibes for Benjamin and P this morning. Had a text to say that he couldn't put any weight on last night, and vet suspects deep seated abcess or pedal bone fracture. Vet is due back this morning.

Let's hope the vet is being over-dramatic and it is just a deep-seated abscess. I've heard of loads of cases where a suspected pedal bone fracture has turned out to be a load of pus!

Ditto TGM - have known a lot of abscesses mooted as pedal bone fractures.....have not known one actually BE a pedal bone fracture.
An abscess would explain why he was lame quite suddenly, and hopefully once the pus appears, he'll be on the mend.

Oh no and they had such a good time hunting last weekend!!
Keep us posted - my boy had a fractured pedal bone a year and a half ago and he recovered well but fingers crossed its just an abscess

Asti had that - either a deep seated abscess or fracture in foot - luckily it was the first - came out through coronet band.
Fingers crossed this is the same!
