we've lost everything! The stables have been gutted and fallen down just a crispy shell left.

Our tack room is next to the stables and harvs saddle, bridle and all tack has gone!

im just so glad he wasnt in his bed as this time last week he was!

thw arson team have been and taken loads of pics, but the worse thing is the yard isnt insured?!! and none of his tack is insured.

( im not having a go as i appreciate you must feel awful about it - i personally could not afford to replace my tack / yard which is why i insure - personal preference though!)

Just glad no one was hurt.

omg....how awful

Thankful that noone or nothing was injured but bad that it wasnt insured......can you claim on home insurance or anything??

OMG .. doubly awful that nothing is insured. I dread to think of the cost of replacements/rebuilding. Lucky, lucky horse.

i dont own him, the horse is insured but not his tack. and we found out that the YO isnt insured!!! None of us knew this!!!

Least the horse is ok and his tack is replacable - ive offered to pay for some of his new bits but his owner wont let me!

Thank goodness that as you say the horses were all out. Difficult as it may be financially if it wasn't insured tack can be replaced. Horses can't.

This always has and always will be my number one fear, a fire starting and the horses unable to escape.

How sad. I really feel for you, but just think how much worse it could of been, thank god your boy was turned out at the time.

Not many people think of this but with allot of insurance companies your tack isn't insured unless it is a building secured by a yale lock or mortis(sp) lock, how many of us just have a padlock on our tack rooms?...... Just be glad your both ok xxx

im not worried about the tack really - as everyone says it can be replaced, im just so frightened that he could have been in there. this time last week he was in ready for the vet to come out the following morning.

hoss's owner wants him moved yards now so a few phone calls this eve and ive secured a grazing paddock at my friends yard which means i can hack out with her!!! and its all secure there, YO lives on site - and my hoss's owner is keen for him to go there - plus its cheaper than we pay now!!

thansk for everyones wishes - i will pass them onto lord muck in the morning!
