I've been away for a few days and when I got back Boris' nose was completely scabbed over - he looked awful. It isn't sunburn as he's been librally applied by my friend with cream, but it looks like a severe case.

I brought him in and by 5 o'clock , three of his legs were up like balloons, he doesn't normally get this either. He seems alright in himself.

I have given him a penicillin jab and put dermobion cream on his nose.

He is prone to allergies so cannot have bute so I gave him some No Bute to ease his mouth so that he can eat properly.

Does anyone have any suggestions or experience of this???

greatly appreciated

To be honest I think she hibi scrubbed and then aqueous creamed the affected areas. I don't think she used anything else. She then moved to another field temporarily to eliminate the BC - which proved to clear it up. So I then went about spraying the field. From what I remember I sprayed it with Depitox and then rested it for 6 weeks. The buttercups stay away for around 3 years. I would imagine that the treatment that you have used along with a soothing cream will help - but if this is the same prob as jub had then elimination of the cause is the only cure. Thinking back we did have blood tests done to check for any toxins or liver problems and they came back clear. Does he have white socks - cause jub did have.
