Possible new member to our family??

I have choc lab, 18months old, and we are thinking about possibly getting another

!!
We dont want to get a puppy as we want something older and calmer!
We have a posbbile prospect, another lab older and calmer, which is owned by my friend but there not able to keep him through to circumstances and time.

Just wonderd if you had any ideas of what would be a suitble dog, we want something to keep buds company, something calm and easy to handle??
We have a greyhound rescue society in the village, and were thinking this a possibilty?

I think the lab sounds like the best idea as they do seem to be fairly sensible!! My brother has two labs and they are both crackers though so maybe not. Also you need to find something that gets on with the existing dog. good luck in .your search

Yeah we want something that is calm, buddy is quite highlystrung lol, and gets a bit excited around other dogs tee hee !!
He needs a friend

Were looking into the lab, its 6, very calm and laid back, loveable, and good with other dogs

Were going to see him this week, so fingers crossed he might be coming home with us for a weeks trial

Noooooo, I voted in the SB post for a rescue greyhound! They are fabby dogs to have around, get on with anything, can be as active or quiet as you like etc etc
