Possible record breaking skid

The brakes on my 3 year old properly failed today. He came galloping down the field and to be fair to him he did try to pull up in a reasonable distance from the fence but his brakes just compleltely failed. He must of skidded about 15m straight into the electric fence with his back legs nearly straight under his front. Luckily he was fine but it was the look on his face which got me it was actually like a cartoon - his eyes seemed to pop out of his head as he realised he just wasn't stopping. Poor pony lol

Im glad that my horse seem to be past the testing her brakes stage espically as she did it in front of me.

my old horse did that, came galloping down the field screaming his head off (quite usual!) and went to jump the fence. Poor lamb didn't realise the puddle next to the fence had frozen into sheet ice. It was like slow motion Bambi!
