Going to get the discussions started early on this one! Who do we think will make this year's European Team for GB?

Have a feeling that Sarah Cohen will get another chance of the place (subject to sound horse etc). Hide and Seek went really well (I did like that horse). Great to see Sarah back with a very good horse. And he's not that old, which bodes well for the future.

Think that all the World Champs riders will be on the short list again, so that's Zara, WFP, Daisy Dick, Mary King, Oli Townend and Sharon Hunt on there as well.

Be interesting to see how many Brits go to Luhmuhlen - I think there will be quite a few - although will we be limited on numbers that can compete?? Wonder if the selectors will will wait until after Lumulhen or announce list now, with option to add more.

I did hear Pippa saying that she was hoping to take Ensign to Luhmuhlen on the BBC coverage of Badminton. Anyone know of anyone else who is hoping to go?

Any thoughts on this one?

Well I do hope Team GB will polish up on their dressage scores, as after badminton most were very disappointing!!

Sarah produced a great round on Hide and Seek! I do hope we get to see more of her in the future.

I do expect the same old crew! Sharon and Zara deserve their place, Mary, Daisy on their jumping results alone (disguard Marys run out at WEG). Oli yes, because he does have the will to WIN and does come up with th goods when he can hold his enthusiaum.
William - a team wouldnt be the same without him really.

I hope Hide and Seek makes it, smashing little horse, I'd be really pleased to see the cheeky fella make it onto the teams! Sarah was one of the only Brits who went out there and actually PROVED she deserved to be on the teams.

I really hope Sarah gets on the team. Normally its people that do well at Badminton who make it on to the team but seeing as there was such a no show this year it is hard to tell who has 3 day form. But its likely to be Zara, Sharon, Daisy and William on the team and Oli and Mary as individuals.

Completely agree, she ran both horses and didnt mess around and then got great results - for this she most definately deserves a place!

Plus Lucinda Green seemed rather taken with Hide and Seek as well (based on SJ commentary for Badminton), and as she is Chairman of selectors that has to be a good thing for Sarah's chances!!

Interesting to note that most of the withdrawn GB Badminton riders/horses appear to have got late entries at Chatsworth, so I think the selectors will be watching with interest to see how the established horses are going. Certainly makes for good viewing for spectators at Chatsworth.

sharon and zara were the only 2 to do good tests at badders
mary did quite a good test too!
If ollie and Daisy prove better dressage guess they will be there too!
So hope sarah gets there I do love her ! hehe
Anyone know whether we can see the entries for Luhmuhlen yet?

Yep, it was Call Again Cavalier's personal best.

I agree about Dressage - last year at WEG both Daisy and Mary had disastrous scores it only takes a soft xc to make this really felt. GB Sj is now pretty reliable.
Flint Curtis has now consistently had bad scores doing 4* or CH events which must make him an unreliable option for team. He was lucky at WEG that the XC had so much impact but the Olympics and Euros are only 3* level and often very soft.
I really think the door is open for Lucy W and Ruth E as they have very good dressage and they jump as well.

I agree. The best dressage of the brits was Ruth with Two Thyme - who would consistently expect to be in the top few after dressage in any company, so means they have everything to go for this season.

I thought they went really well and he has had some pretty good results but I think he needs one more year to consolidate that as it was his first 4*.
