Possible suggestion - an AAD meet up?

I am not sure this will work at all because everyone lives so far away from each other, but I am still wondering about the possibility of an AAD meet up next year?

I have visions of us meeting at a country park or similar and enjoying a nice lunch before walking the dogs (suitably muzzled/on the lead etc as required
grin.gif
) I know quite a few people meet up already, which is great, but this would be a slightly larger thing?

If the meet-up was held locally to someone we could source dog-friendly B&B's if required, in the same way as Weezy does for her annual party
smile.gif

I would be happy to host of course, but not many of us would fit in the mobile home

And I would have to check with my landlords as they have 5 dogs, 2 cats and multiple horses so that may be a non-starter....

Would anyone be interested? (slinks away back under my duvet and waits for tumbleweeds.....)
blush.gif

Probably not even as early as that TBH - I was hoping to get any chance of nasty road conditions etc out of the way
grin.gif
And I know that HHOers like plenty of notice, so I was wondering about around Easter time (March/April time anyway)

Brilliant idea

I look after a holiday cottage that sleeps 6 and welcomes dogs (and horses, even children!!)

Dogs can either sleep in the cottage or in any of the stables - especially if it is after April when the horses are usually turned out by then.

It certainly wouldn't be for free but I could get it at a reduced rate which would be minimal split between everyone - if it was a weekend I can put up another 2 here at home
smile.gif

You can walk straight from here onto the moor - so no need to worry about roads etc
smile.gif
especially as the cottage has a very long drive from the road anyway!

The only downside is, we live quite a ways from most of you but if you are willing to travel I am happy to host
smile.gif

It would be best to hold it before August/Sept mind - before the pheasants are released
tongue.gif

Ooooh that sounds ace Ravenwood, and we have a slightly better chance of decent weather around that time of year
grin.gif

Are you relatively near a motorway or similar for reasonable access?
smile.gif

Now I count that as perfectly do-able, 25 miles is really not far at all
grin.gif
(I count about 100 miles away as far
tongue.gif
)

Cool, we will still count you as a possible venue if we can

laugh.gif

I would if it was more May/June.....cos im not taking precious work hols b4 then
smirk.gif
tongue.gif

*everyone arranges meet before then, to escape meeting Cayla*
smirk.gif

Im not to fussed about travelling anywhere............I can pick Little Miss M up if she needs a lift, being up the road and all that
tongue.gif

Looks like we are coming to you Ravenwood
grin.gif

Cayla - we will have to meet up before then of course to hand over Amy

I'm up for a meet, can vouch for RW's hospitality having descended on her before (complete with neddy)!!

Can I suggest the muzzles may be more aptly used on the owner rather than the dogs..........depending on who's coming of course!
