Hello,

Just a quick one really.
M is usually really good with picking her hooves up for me so I can pick them out, I do this on a day to day basis.

Now over the past month or so, she doesnt like having her front right picked up? She starts the whole moving from side to side .. skipping and hopping around in circles.

So today the farrier came up and fitted some new shoes and I was talking to him because as soon as it came to this hoof again she kept walking side to side like she normally does.

The farrier suggested that she might have some weakness in her front left leg and might find it harder to balance etc.

So now im worrying because she also used to be a racer (she raced 2 years ago, has done nothing since)

Now shes fine when shes walking on it .. and it was only minutes before I saw her galloping across the field to get to the hay that I had just put out etc. She is showing no signs of lameness .. but I havnt ridden for a while because of this weather!

So I saw her walking on the hard road today .. no signs of lameness .. and when she was in the field she was a looney running around so still no signs.

Now my question is, are there any exercises that I can do with her to see if itl help her leg a bit more? Or is it a call to the vet? OR is it just her pratting about to see if she can get away with not having one hoof picked out?

Im just concerned really that the farrier has said this and now im starting to panic that shes got a weak leg?

Will this also cause her problems later on when I start to introducing her to pole work? Not yet as shes still a baby!

Thank you in advance! If its a call to the vet I shall be on it in the morning!!
