Possibly a stupid question?

Well, when we got Jet, he had fleas. We took him to the vet 2 days after having him and they gave him some frontline, though he is still scratching and I am getting bites. Mum just asked me to ring the vet and ask whether we would be able to give him some more Frontline, or is it far too soon after the last dose (2 weeks ago)? And as I am terrible at talking to people on the phone, I thought I would ask here first?

The vet said that the fleas wouldn't have been able to go into the carpet and make baby fleas in the 2 days before he had the Frontline, but we were wondering if that was a possibility?

Well I don't understand how fleas were not able to drop off and have little fleas in the 2 days.

I would be very tempted to go and get some spray for teh carpets, the dog beds and anything else Jet may have slept on. If he has had frontline he should have no live fleas on him because it gets into teh blood and kills anything that then bites the dog. So you can only be being bitten by something else

Yup, I'd treat the house as well as Jet

If you have a steam cleaner, that works just as well to get rid of the buggers for carpets etc as the chemical treatments. (At least, I found that it did

)

aren't you supposed to do a repeat dose of frontline after 3 weeks?

Ah thanks for that, I dont know about redoing it in 3 weeks, my mum is in charge of the whole de-fleaing, and she is at work, will ask her to pick up some stuff for the house on her way home. Thanks
