Anyone got plans?

After a completely wild fun packed weekend last week, I have no plans :( boo.

Kira enjoyed her hack round the woods on Sunday so might look to do something similar and better get the Salty one out to an arena hire.

Lesson on Tuesday.

Have fun all :)

Hacking, hacking and more hacking hopefully.

Off to see a friend competing on a team at Keysoe over the weekend on Sunday.

Wish I was off to Chatsworth, but just happy I'll have the ERM livestream to get my fix!!

My horse is going to a BHS ride on Saturday with one of the girls from the yard as her horse is having time off as he was a bit "off".

A quiet one for us this weekend, might box up with friends to go for a hack somewhere on Sunday but the weather forecast doesn't look great. We're headed off for summer camp on Wednesday so mainly packing and getting over excited for that :)

Son has kid's SJ tomorrow night, and we both have a lesson on Monday.

Might go XC schooling on Sunday, but to be fair that's probably enough horsiness for the weekend....

I started early! Last night we did arena and WH course hire that was left up from a show on Monday. Great fun, M in his element and flew round everything like a pro! I lost my nerve jumping a while ago after a few bad falls so we are aiming for style rather than height ATM and building up slowly but this wee guy looks after me.

Will do a bit of schooling, bit of hacking and I have a jumping lesson on Sunday

Inter-regionals at Keysoe! Indio and I are representing Central Region at Novice. Hopefully we can repeat our 70% score of last weekend! He felt fab in our lesson this morning so fingers crossed :D

I might do a bit of lunging.Have to get horse supple and I'm too stiff at the moment to ride

Lull? It's another busy horsey weekend. I'm off to Royal Windsor tomorrow. I'd go to Chatsworth if I wasn't working this weekend (although it always feels tame the week after watching Badmintn!)

The Four Burrow, down in mid Cornwall. The track has a super hill right in the middle so you can see most of the fences while hardly moving! First race is at 2.00, so if the weather is good it's going to be arrive at 12 with a picnic.

See you there j1ffy, we are unlikely to hit the magical 70%, but we can dream .

Ooh some exciting plans hope all goes well. And hope the weather stays nice. Although can’t believe it but the ground around us has gone hard already!

Another good lesson tonight, so chuffed that we’re both so much straighter and steadier, and I’m able to correct issues quicker and F responds quicker too. All the schooling and lessons have really paid off. Just need to be able to repeat that when it’s just us two!

Keysoe xc clinic on Saturday. Went for a later time so am in the 80 group. Have done 80s there before but not since our wobble last year. But feeling ok and will see how we go.

Off to showing (or maybe SJ) with Baby Dexter Sunday for his first ridden outing :) Then off to Unicorn Trust next weds-thurs for Cheeri for gbr progression team training. Just filled in his FEI registration and entered his first 2* - all go :D

I'm showing this weekend but I'm not telling whichever equine I take they are going because sods law decrees that they will do something to themselves before Sunday which renders them unable to go!

The Wee Coloured Job gets a weekend at home as the judge isn't best suited for him but he is out the following 2 weekends.

Watching the YO compete at Chatsworth on TV (go Elvis in the ERM class and Sweep in the Advanced!)

Hopefully get a late entry to a local hunter trial on Sunday if they ever e-mail me back :p

CHATSWORTH!

My local event. One day I'll even ride there! (Arena Eventing before anyone thinks I am getting ideas above my station!)

So yesterday I was dressage running for a couple of hours and then in the dressage scorers lorry for 4 hours adding up scores till my brain felt like it was leaking out of my ears. I can't tell you how reassuring it is to see top level riders doing really ***** tests!! (Is that horrible of me?) One sheet had an 8 for the centre line, then it all fell apart from then....

Interesting to see some pretty strict welfare standards being enforced - DQs for blood on the horse etc. Quite right too.

Volunteers/Officials were invited to an evening drinks reception at Chatsworth House. I was going to go with a friend who was dressage running too, but she had a bad fall on Wednesday and was not up to it. So I am ashamed to say I chickened out of going. Pathetic I know but hey ho.

Today I was back spectating. (Volunteering one of the days gives you a weekend pass which is nice). Saw my daughter's best friend jump clear in the arena eventing 100cm class with 1 time fault. Not bad for a 14 year old on a pony. And another impressive teenage friend from Pony Club take her awesome 14.2 pony clear round the 1* XC course. AND inside the time.

Lovely day and more to come tomorrow....

I hate farriers! GrayMo was supposed to be going showing tomorrow for the first time in 2 years! He got his feet trimmed, along with Jeff, yesterday and today they are both shuffly and lame. Neither have ever gone lame from getting their feet done - shoes or just trims! And now they are both lame...

So The Wee Coloured Job has been substituted in! Fair play to the show that I was going to, I rang them just after 4pm today and they have let me swop Lance into Gray's place in one class and into another class that he could do. I don't mind losing out on 1 entry fee as they have been so kind to swop.

Aha that will explain what was going on at Keysoe today! If I’d have remembered I would have looked out for some hho’ers.

Did a xc clinic at Keysoe. Bit,bonkers as the seem to have put every fence they own onto the one field! Group of 5 so didnt really get chance to do much but good for a run out and it was not until afterwards that I realised I hadn’t been nervous for any part of it really. Which is a big step forward as I’m usually sick with nerves where jumping is concerned.

Sorted tack for the baby horse who has just come back in, ready to get on him after the weekend
Collected the retired boy from his ex-loan home, ready to spend a month here, before going to his new loan home
Fun riding tomorrow on the hunter who is staying in work (as opposed to the others who are all getting fat and long-maned in the field)

Looking forward to riding the new boy next week when his mouth has settled down - had two blind wolf teeth taken out last week.....
