Our one year old whippet was castrated last Thursday. The vet said to limit him to on-lead only walks for ten days, however he's going absolutely stir crazy and it's very clear that on-lead pootles are not enough, he just wants to run.
He's got plenty of toys, including boredom breaker type ones that he's getting food in and I've even let him have a couple of bounces round the garden but he's just so fed up. So far today he's spent most of his time staring wistfully out of the patio doors whining
The wound is looking brilliant, you can barely see it now. Would it be a really stupid idea to take him out and let him have a bit of a blast round? I'm thinking only a relatively short walk but enough for him to at least stretch his legs.
I'm not sure I can cope until Monday with him being whingey
