I’m talking about a cat suit for an actual cat not for me, just to clarify!
I have two kittens going in for spay/castration this week, are the suits a good idea? Anyone used them successfully? I think having two with lampshade collars on at the same time will cause chaos…
Picture of the troublemakers attached!

My bitch goes in for spaying tomorrow (eek!) and I have bought a suit for her to wear afterwards, so good to hear they are recommended. Hope the op goes okay for your kittens.

Squirrel wore a cat suit after her hernia + spay op, as the collar of shame was a hard no! She did also hate the suit but it did stay put despite her chewing it!

The boy cat should be fine, and may not even have stitches in. You could always bodge a baby's T-shirt for your girl. Make sure it is long enough in the body to cover the stitches. Otherwise, a square of clean gauze big enough to cover the shaved area. Stick the edges to the cat's fur with elastoplast - do not stick to the skin as she may react. Have fun!

I think the cone collars are really distressing for them, so couldn't bring myself to subject pd to it so in advance I purchased a suit off amazon to use instead

She did come back from her spay with the cone separate, to be used if needed, but worried her wound overnight, so the suit went on at night, when we couldn't keep an eye on her
I popped her cat walking jacket through the arm holes to help keep it in place (the walking jacket goes just past her shoulders)

I think she only got out of jt on one of the last nights

Practice with it before the surgery if you can so she gets used to wearing it. The other reason for the suit would be to protect her a bit more if boy cat tries to bundle - may be worth separating them when you can't keep an eye we did with AC who we had at the time, to ensure they didn't bundle (they used to enjoy a bundle before he got ill) and I was worried her stitches would rip. At least in the day you can keep an eye on them

The suit: yes it had doughnuts on!

Love it! I went for pink camouflage for the girl and grey camo for the boy - they were worth buying for sheer comedy value alone :)

Love it! She looks very compliant in it ?

Has she got Maine Coon in?

I think she’s still a bit away with the fairies at the moment ? Phoebe is a bog standard moggie, mum was a very young black cat who got caught by the local tabby tom cat. She’s actually teeny tiny, she only just tipped the scales to be allowed to have her op. Her brother is significantly bigger! She definitely got the brains though.
