Sorry if this isnt in the right place
a while ago i posted about a seller from ebay sending me a postal order (even though i had stated paypal) and i was asking if anyone had, had one before
someone advised i take it straight to the post office and they would change it straight for cash there, however the post office said they couldnt do this as it was crossed so i had to take it to the bank.
The person at the bank said that it would be available to withdraw the money today but i was wondering if any one knew if the person could still withdraw the postal order or is my money secure and will not be able to leave the bank
Ive been trying to ring the bank to ask but they are having problems and my local bank isnt open on a satuarday to ask
But i dont want to send the saddle until i know for sure as when i messaged the seller to say that i had taken postal order to the bank but they had advised it would take 5 days to clear they replied saying...
"postal orders are instantly redemable at the post office like wise you can only have a postal order done by paying in full before they are printed. i need the saddle for this weekends competition which now do not have a saddle for. with £50 of quilifing entries for hoys now gone.i am not happy"
However the saddle was bought on the 14th march and i only recieved the postal order on the 24th! so if they needed the saddle that desperately they should have sent it sooner
the buyer sounded genuine in all her messages and has 100% positive feedback and i obviosly want her to be happy but i dont want to be out of pocket.
sorry this has turned out a bit long! so... is the money save in my account or can postal orders be withdrawn?
