I'm looking at buying a second hand saddle from the US, but the seller has been quoted £170 to post it. This seems very expensive - I posted one to the US a couple of years ago and it was only £80. Does anyone have any ideas about where to look for a cheaper shipping quote (she has tried FedEx and UPS).

Thanks in advance!

I sent one DHL from Australia back to the UK, I can't remember off the top of my head how much it was but I wouldn't think that £170 was over priced. Not with air taxes and fuel prices all being put into consideration.

when i purchased my western saddle from arizona usa, the weight of it was 35lbs, the saddler charged me $120 usps, this was about 5 yrs ago, find out the weight of your saddle then go on to usps website, you should be able to pull up the price, we import alot of stuff from the states, and they do like to add on profit money for posting stuff, but your at there mercy, all the best roangirl
