I cut down a couple of the box sides so it wrapped around the saddle more, also put the saddle inside plastic before padding, just in case it gets wet (unlikely but you never know!). Parcelforce were excellent and both saddles I've posted only cost around £18 for 24 hour delivery. Bargain!

NOT like this:

I picked it up from the Post Office and was absolutely dreading what I would find inside - amazingly it wasnt damaged but yes that really is one sheet of bubble wrap and one sheet of brown paper. I can only assume that it was so badly wrapped that the posties took extra care of it!

I sent one today, in a big box, jam packed with padding (big air packets, like giant bubble wrap) then the box taped up with gaffa tape all over. Cost £21 with Royal Mail for Next Day Signed For with £500 compensation.

I posted a saddle and found that an 18" W VSD fitted into the biggest box that Staple sells. I got an enormous sheet of bubble wrap from the garden center (greenhouse insulation) - much cheaper than Staples.

Cost me £23 to post it to scotland on the 48 hour price. Shame it took an extra 12 hours, so the buyer got me for delayed delivery - despite me keeping in touch and explaining what was happening. Nice of her!

I sent a saddle last week with EZDelivery. There are an agent for lots of couriers. Cost me £6.99, and it was insured too. Saddle was courier'd by DHL, door to door. Amazing service.

website is: www.ezdelivery.co.uk

Fantastic company. I would use them again without hesitation and would recommend them to anyone. Got a tracking number etc, can check online the status of your parcel etc. Fantastic.
