I am forcing myself to have a rug clearout as I am running out of places to hide them all!! I have already sold quite a few new ones on preloved/ebay which were sadly no longer required due to the loss of a horse, but have a bundle to go to be washed/re-proofed before selling.
I used royal mail for the first batch of posting and it cost an absolute fortune (not helped by the fact that I managed to estimate it wrong!) - so am considering using a courier service for the next ones in the hope I will save a few pennies and that hopefully a lower postage price will appeal to buyers.

I haven't used a courier for ages - who do you find to be reliable? x

The thing with My Hermes it is can really depend on who your local person is. In our old house they were terrible, now we have moved and they are the best of the lot in terms of service.

If you can fit them into the maximum package dimensions listed on their website, definitely Collect Plus. Especially if you can do the deliver to store option closest to the buyer as I think it's a standard price charged for up to 10kg in weight. It was tons cheaper than Royal Mail when I was posting a massive, heavy, vintage duffel coat to a friend.

I use my Hermes for delivering most of the stuff I sell on eBay as its cheaper, and generally more comvienient than post office. Not had a problem yet.

Another good tip. Print two labels and put one inside the parcel.
i use different courriers through parcel2go they are all different prices for different services. Hermes chepest and reiable for three days .overnight usually about £12 with other courriers if you want it there quicker.

Hi

I had to send a rug back which i had bought off ebay was shocked at Royal Mail so went on line and used interparcel.com and booked through them (it was actually TNT who was the courier) cost me £10 and rug was delivered next day :-) was most pleased as I get a bit nervous sending stuff by post incase it gets lost!!
