Hi all,

I seem to remember as a kid my instructor used to make me wear this strange rigid plastic device that went over the tops of my arms and round my back to help keep my arms in the right position and prevent me tipping forward. Now call me crazy but I am actually considering buying one of these now, but I can't for the life of me remember what it's called, so has anyone got any ideas?

I have tried placing a whip in the same position but this really didn't work as well!

Thanks x

Derby house have two different products, seem to be made from elastic though not plastic, to keep the upper part of the back straight. Haven't tried either but I am tempted (desperate times require desperate measures!).

The Shoulders Back posture aid might help - it encouraged you to lift you're rib cage and keep your shoulders back. It doesn't force you bit if a good constant reminder.

I had this problem and went to see a chiropractor- its amazing what was wrong with me and explained my position- A great deal of nagging and developing a day to day posture- not just on horse back really was worth its weight in gold- have to add my chiropractor is also an event rider so I guess that helped as he knew I was a rider good luck but these gadgets are just a quick fix
